May 31st was a remarkable day at the WELL Recharge conference in Tokyo. The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) organized a series of insightful discussions and events that explored the latest trends in building sustainability. Our team was actively involved, presenting on building sustainability in Japan and globally. We discussed current trends and shared best practices with fellow attendees.
Alessandro Bisagni, BEE’s Founder and President, had the honor of presenting our values and experiences. He emphasized the importance of sustainability as a core value in our business. We are proud not only to sponsor meaningful events like the WELL Recharge conference but also to work daily for the benefit of future generations.
Hanako Travin, our Project Engineer in the Japan team, participated in the panel discussion. She emphasized Japan’s potential to benefit from ESG strategies, highlighting how they can improve employee well-being and foster innovation. Hanako noted the growing focus on environmental performance among Japanese clients and stressed the importance of integrating social equity and responsible governance. She also highlighted the positive changes seen in workplaces through WELL projects:
I think Japan is the perfect place to implement more ESG strategies, especially in workplaces, because I think protecting the health and wellbeing of employees makes businesses more profitable, since employees can be more productive and work smarter, not harder.
We want to express our gratitude to all the participants and organizers who made this event possible. We are learning from each other and should be united on the way to a green planet. We’re excited to keep these important conversations going and can’t wait to see you at our next gathering in Sydney. Until then, let’s keep championing sustainability and well-being in everything we do. See you soon!
